#1 The meaning of life is in attaining the highest form of knowledge (Plato)
#2 Man's chief end is to glorify God, and enjoy him forever (Westminster Catechism)
#3 The primary function to life, it is the replication of DNA and the survival of one's genes (Richard Dawkins)
#4 Life sucks and in the end you die (Bruce Steward)
#5 The purpose of life is to have fun (Billy Hetler at the age of 10)
#6 Expressed in language, the question is meaningless; because, in life the statement the "meaning of life", usually denotes the consequences of life, or the significance of life, or what is notable about life, thus, when the meaning of life concept equals "life", in the statement the "meaning of life", the statement becomes recursive, and, therefore, nonsensical, or it might refer to the fact that biological life is essential to having a meaning in life (Ludwig Wittgenstein)
#7 The meaning of life is to end suffering through detaching oneself from cravings and conceptual attachments (Buddha)
#8 Life has no meaning the moment you lose the illusion of being eternal (Jan-Paul Sartre)
